In the first week of April, the Eco-Bahia foundation began its environmental awareness workshops as part of the Environmental Education Program, aimed at the staff of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.
The first participants were staff from the Food & Beverage department at the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya complex, visiting five restaurants: Don Pablo, Yalku, Riviera, La Gran Tortuga, and Kulkukan. A total of 171 employees attended, with the goal of updating their knowledge on proper waste management and encouraging sustainable habits that benefit both operations and the environment.
Additionally, promotional talks on various ecological activities were conducted with the housekeeping department at Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, aiming for staff to apply these practices and raise environmental awareness among guests.
We appreciate the willingness and openness of the teams to share this essential information, which is not only relevant in work areas but also in everyday life.
The Eco-Bahia foundation is convinced that, by working together with the staff of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, it is possible to achieve more responsible operations for the community and the environment.
These initiatives are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen a culture of sustainability, promote best environmental practices, and educate staff on efficient resource management in the Riviera Maya.
