A Commitment to Conservation and Animal Welfare
Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort, in collaboration with the Eco-Bahia foundation, reaffirmed its commitment to biodiversity conservation and animal welfare through a significant donation to Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, one of the region’s most important refuges.
The initiative aims to improve the living conditions of the animals housed at the sanctuary, supporting their care, rehabilitation, and reintegration into safe environments.
The donation included:
• 🛏️ 335 double bed sheets
• 🛁 210 bath towels
• 💤 130 pillowcases
• 🖐️ 40 hand towels
These resources will be used to enhance hygiene and comfort in the sanctuary’s habitats, providing animals with a safer and more enriching environment.

This donation reflects our commitment to animal welfare and our desire to drive actions that make a difference,” said Arantxa Munuera, General Director of the resort.
Akumal Monkey Sanctuary deeply appreciated the initiative, emphasizing that support like this is essential to continue its work in rescuing, caring for, and conserving species.
