EcoBahia at the Water Forum in Samaná

The EcoBahia foundation reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and the responsible management of water resources by participating in the first Water Forum: “From the Mountains to the Coast.” This event was convened by the Sur Futuro foundation and the Center for the Conservation and Sustainable Development of Samaná Bay and its Surroundings (CEBSE), with the aim of fostering dialogue and the exchange of initiatives that promote ecosystem protection and climate change adaptation in the province of Samaná.

During the meeting, representatives of EcoBahia shared experiences and best conservation practices implemented in their areas of influence. Special emphasis was placed on environmental education programs and ecosystem restoration projects designed to protect water sources and promote a sustainable development model in the region.

Exchange of Experiences and Strategic Alliances

Participation in this forum was key to exchanging knowledge with various social, business, and community stakeholders. Through this platform, alliances were strengthened around water, one of the most vital resources for life and human development.

Furthermore, EcoBahia’s presence reaffirms the organization’s role as a reference point in environmental conservation in the Dominican Republic, promoting projects that combine science, community, and sustainability.

Commitment to a More Sustainable Future

With initiatives such as this, EcoBahia reaffirms its mission to protect the environment and work collaboratively with institutions and communities. The objective is clear: to ensure a sustainable future for present and future generations in Samaná and across the country.

Participation in the Water Forum highlights not only the foundation’s commitment but also the importance of joint efforts among civil society, businesses, and communities to address the challenges of climate change and ensure the conservation of natural resources.
